Serial 2HJ XXX from 1952

Rare and Uncommon Italic PICA typeface. you can find italic, but rarely PICA.

not common at all on Imperial typewriters that usually are available in Elite or PICA only. 

Please check the Letters and details of the letters like "f", the "l"

Imperials are widely produced in Elite and PICA and not too many known other typefaces like this one. 

This typewriter was used by a Gentleman in his business to type private and business letters to clients and friends during the 50s and 60s. his son passed it to us and he asked us that it is restored and sold to an appreciating new owner as it was a part of their family in Buckingham Area for 60 years. 

 

Mechanical condition:

Professionally restored to perfect working order.

Smooth and ready to type for long hours. 

New & fresh Black & Red Ribbon Fitted

Occasionally, Red might leave small Black marks on upper case letters. 

Cosmetic condition:

Like all our typewriters, it was genuinely restored & serviced.

There are age marks on the main frame but it was restored to a much better matte finish. 

Nice Chromed keys. 

Decals are very good to excellent. minor fading on kind George emblem. 

Comes with Original lid and base that should always be used. normal age signs and includes original Imperial Brush.

Imperials are known for mass production of elite and PICA and not many fancy typefaces but this one is the first seen with Large italic PICA with very nice stylish letters.
