1916 Corona 3 Folding Typewriter

We have run out of stock for this item.

Early version of the Corona 3 .

Rescued in our workshop as it was going to be thrown away last year.

Inside contains the name of the previous owner on a small label. Can be removed but we avoided.

Serial 81XXX from 1916,, Earliest serials after the pre 1916 versions of the Corona 3.

Mechanical condition:

Professionally restored to working order but will only recommend for occasional typing and will not be reliable for fast typing long hours of typing,

New & fresh Black/Red Ribbon Fitted.

Platen is not new but very good. Will serve for years to come. Seems to have been changed before we got it, but again, its not new, maybe rubber replaced before the 1980s.

Minor mis alignment to some of the letters due to age. Nothing major but adds character as its more than 105 years old.

Cosmetic condition:

There are minor marks and minor scratches on the main frame.

Key tops looks great and the space bar is my favourite as its has usage marks on its right side displaying a lot of nice history.

Chrome is very good to excellent with minimum age marks.

Original carrying case that has age signs all over. please check all pictures of the sides and inside.

Previously added felt to hold the front lid. Kept it.

Decals are great for its age. An excellent collectable example.
