As a product expert in the typewriter industry, I can confidently state that the Olympia SM3 typewriter is a top-performing machine, renowned for its exceptional German-made quality. This Olympia SM3 Typewriter with Apothecary symbols has been given a new platen, rescuing it from an otherwise certain fate of being discarded by its previous owner.

SM3 Rejuvenated & Reconditioned  to Excellent condition after long hours of Work on it and Dismantling it for a Deeper Clean. 

Mechanical condition:

Professionally restored to perfect working order.

Smooth and Will type for long hours. 

New platen fitted. New fresh rubber layer that was professionally prepared for our typewriters. Costs around £145 to be separately restored in our workshop. 

New & fresh Black and Red Ribbon Fitted.

New washers fitted all over the frame. 

Cosmetic condition: 

Like all our typewriters, it was genuinely restored & serviced.

The frame remains in very good to excellent condition, despite its age. However, the inner mechanism displays signs of aging and wear, as it has not been cleaned for an extended period of time.

The keys have been thoroughly cleaned, yet some still display marks and are lacking their original shine.

This Olympia SM3 Typewriter comes with its original carrying case, which has been carefully maintained and is in Good to very good condition.  Main marks are on its inside.

Additionally, a new rubber foot has been added to the case for added stability.

Modern Congress Elite typeface. with additional Apothecary symbols. 

11 pts per the inch.
